Forensics Examiner / Incident Responder – San Francisco Bay Area

Our team is growing and we’re expanding our expertise. It’s not just Digital Forensics anymore. We’re looking for someone in the San Francisco area who has Incident Response experience along with digital forensics knowledge.

As a Forensics Examiner, you’ll be responsible for imaging digital data in person and remotely, then analyzing that data and reporting the results to the client.  It’s possible there will be short-term assignments in other locations.

Systems Administrator

A Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. 
You will be responsible for our primary site here in Denver as well as remote end-user sites across the country. 
 
Responsibilities 

  • Support and maintain server related hardware to ensure stable operation of enterprise applications. This includes scheduling, and performing server improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Support and maintain server operating systems and enterprise applications (ie. Windows Server 2008 and 2012, VMWare, etc.).
  • Support and maintain security solutions (ie. anti-virus, anti-spam, web filters, firewalls, etc) and perform network and server security audits as needed.
  • Support and maintain network and server backups. This includes backups of file shares, SQL databases, Active Directory, and network device configurations. This must all be done in compliance with the Backup and Disaster Recovery Procedure.
  • Manage end user access to network resources. This includes managing permissions on file shares, managing Active Directory users and groups, and performing audits as needed.
  • Monitor server performance and provide reports as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant network and server products, software, services, protocols, and best practices.
  • Document support procedures and train others on those procedures
  • On call for after-hours support for server and network issues.
  • Assist periodically in after-hours deployments and support

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in systems administration of Windows technologies, SAN technology, Citrix, and virtual environments
  • Ability to independently research and find solutions to problems.
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed to support critical and major outages.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable and responsive to IT ticketing system
  • Must possess strong work ethic, teamwork and interpersonal skills

Discovery Consultant/Project Manager

Precision Discovery is hiring a Discovery Consultant/Project Manager. A Discovery Consultant is an eDiscovery position that manages every stage in an eDiscovery project. The position requires excellent communication and client service skills that include the ability to define, plan and execute the collection, processing, review and document production strategy for a discovery project.

The Discovery Consultant (“DC”) is the face of Precision Discovery on every project and is the primary point of client contact for the life of a project.
